International Exhibitions

Paris  

Invited by the Russian Ministry of Culture as the only non musical artist to participate in a ‘Presentation of Russian Art’ for members of the diplomatic corps at the Russian Ambassador’s residence – invited to appear on a French TV art program.

New York 

‘International Sculpting Design Exhibition’ - ‘Gold Medal Award’ - at the 2nd exhibition 4 of her works were purchased by galleries in Fifth Avenue & Beverly Hills.

Graduating from Moscow State University of Arts & Design Tanya subsequently worked as a stage and costume designer for Moscow theatres prior to sourcing works of art throughout Russia and organising exhibitions in major Russian cities for The Russian Ministry of Culture.

She then relocated to New York to work as an antique painting restorer before a personal tragedy led her to focus her talents on sculpting and costume design. Her life changed dramatically when her US based patron Thomas Bolan invited her to exhibit at an international exhibition at the Javits Centre in New York. Her success in New York launched her career throughout the USA and Europe and led to 2 TV programs about her life and work and a 3 part TV series teaching viewers how to sculpt. more

She then spent several years in Cyprus teaching sculpting, travelling to her exhibitions in Moscow, Luxembourg, Rotterdam and Paris and exhibiting her costumes at an annual fashion show.  more 

In 2016 she relocated to the UK established her studio in Norwich and was quickly accepted by the local ‘art community’. Subsequently she has given dozens of sculpting workshops (both private and for schools and societies), has been interviewed on local radio and has participated in several exhibitions. more

Russia 

‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ - appointed costume designer for the first production in English of this classic Shakespeare play - 3 open air performances at the British Ambassador’s Moscow residence raised some $20,000 for a local orphanage.

Moscow Arts Theatre – appointed Costume and Stage Designer - productions included ‘Anthony and Cleopatra’, Anton Chekhov’s ‘Lady with Dog’ and ‘Cinderella’

Workshops for the ‘Moscow Fashion Design Institute’ - appointed lecturer at this prestigious institute - since leaving Russia I am still asked to give workshops when ever I visit Moscow.

Cyprus and UK

  • Cyprus Government Theatre Organisation (THOK) - puppet designer for a ‘black light’ production of the children’s play ‘The Underwater Teacher’ - the production toured Nicosia and other Cyprus cities.

Early Career

New York Art Gallery - worked as a restorer of antique paintings

Russian Ministry of Culture – Tanya sourced works of art throughout Russia and coordinated the design of exhibitions in Moscow and major Russian cities.

The Present

Tanya relocated to the UK in 2016 with her husband and 18 year old son, and currently works from  her Norwich Studio.
